DIXIT DOMINUS by Handel, Te Deum by Lully and the premiere of the contemporary composer Björn Pinkster. VOKALISK consists of 20 very talented singers. Baroque ensemble ConcertoValiante conducted by Leonardo Valiante frames this project with 12 instrumentalists, students and graduates of conservatories. Here too young talent on the way to stage experience.

three internationally renowned Uruguayan artists with extensive professional careers will combine Uruguayan music with European opera.

The concept of ‘classical music’ is broad: although it is often associated with academic music, there are also popular classics that have become cultural symbols. It aims to bridge the gap between the European academic tradition and the popular Uruguayan sensibility of tango, milonga and chamarrita: by combining everything from the first ‘chamarrita’ by Zitarrosa that she learned from a teacher when I was thirteen, or the cultural anthem La Cumparsita, to arias and duets by Donizetti and Mozart that she discovered later and that have deeply influenced her.
